Check-up via long-term ECG

During the examination, we record all your heartbeats for 24 hours. This is particularly useful if there is a suspicion of:

Cardiac arrhythmia
for seizure-like disorders of consciousness or dizzy spells
after a heart attack
with long-term use of certain medications

The examination device
In our practice, we work with an LZ ECG recorder from Custo®. It consists of two devices: a small recorder which you wear around your neck like a necklace and which hardly affects your normal daily routine during recording. And a so-called combination recorder, which enables simultaneous recording of ECG and blood pressure over 24 hours. Please note that the devices are not waterproof.

This is how it works
You must leave your upper body free so that we can put on the recorders. The next day, come to our practice by 8:30 a.m. and hand in the recorders. We will evaluate the data on the PC immediately after it has been played back. Normal physical activities are possible and desired on the day of the examination.

Check-up via long-term blood pressure measurement

We need this measurement method to detect high blood pressure that requires treatment and to adjust the blood pressure with medication.

This is how it works
We prepare a blood pressure profile for you using an automatic blood pressure cuff and record it over a period of 24 hours. Your blood pressure is recorded every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night. The next day you come to our practice by 8:30 a.m. and hand in the device. Once the examination is complete, we can create an exact day and night profile of your blood pressure on the computer. The result is available within minutes.

The examination device
We use Custo® long-term blood pressure recorders in our practice. On the morning of the examination, we will place a blood pressure cuff on your left upper arm. It is connected to a tube on the measuring device, which you simply wear on your waistband with a belt.
