- The examination takes about 10 minutes.
Thanks to sonography of your leg veins, we can rule out fresh and old thromboses and diagnose varicose veins.
During this examination, we examine and assess the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, the large vessels of the abdominal cavity, the spleen and the lower abdominal organs.
We use ultrasound to examine and assess the lymph nodes in your neck and the thyroid gland.
Using ultrasound waves, we can view and assess your heart valves and take a closer look at the performance of the heart muscle. We can also assess the size of the heart and regional differences in pumping behavior.
A new application of ultrasound is the assessment of the lungs, pleura and ribs. This allows us to assess water accumulations (effusions) in the pleura, organized pneumonia, wall-adhering lung ulcers and even rib fractures. Ultrasound examination is an excellent alternative to X-ray examination.
We use an ultrasound magnifying glass to take a closer look at your neck vessel wall. This enables us to detect possible preliminary stages of vascular calcification and treat them in good time. We can also better assess the risk of elevated cholesterol levels.
